1970 Cadillac Fleetwood Seventy Five

POLAND, EUROPE

Car Story

The American president Jimmy Carter rode this bulletproof car. Carter was the president of the United States from 1977 to 1981 and Georgia State Governor from 1971 to 1975.

In 1980, Travolta inspired a nationwide country music craze with the release of his hit film Urban Cowboy. For the movie’s release, George Barris had the interior of the Travolta Fever car transformed to a customized Urban Cowboy theme appointed with cowhide seats, an authentic saddle for the center console and detailed stiching on the rear seat depicting a cowboy riding a mechanical bull (see photos).

In 1983, several of the cars from the George Barris Collection (including Travolta Fever) were auctioned off in Hollywood and until recently, the Travolta Fever has been out of the public eye and hidden away. A few months ago, Travolta Fever was brought back to George Barris' shop for a magazine shoot and George personally autographed the dash at that time (see photos). Travolta Fever is currently owned by an automobile collector in Ventura, California. - See more at: http://www.carpictures.com/vehicle/07KJM203705692/Pontiac-Firebird-Travolta-Fever-1971#sthash.vZySHZNE.dpuf
